Dear sir/madam,
For more than ten years I have been researching one particular line of the JAMES family that came to South Africa somewhere in the 1800's. A certain Mr. William Prest JAMES. This morning we stumbled upon a William Prisk JAMES' death notice and it turned out to be our man we've been looking for! His year of birth and the names of his parents are on the notice as well as his children with his two wives. These names correlated with the ones we have in our posession and was gave to us by my wife's late mother. With a little help from Familysearch IGI's website, we found your website and the baptism details of William Prisk James ~ 30.8.1818.

Thank you very much for keeping up this wonderful site and thank you to all the transcribers of these numerous registers and parish records! Great work!

Will it be possible to obtain copies or photos of the original inscriptions?

Kind regards
Johann & Estelle

Hi, I've 'stumbled' across your site and am interested in a comment from 'Shirley Bassett' (Porthleven) seeking possible contact with the Pengilly family.
My contact is fairly remote nowadays but I was born in 1941 in Twickenham. My father was Eric Alexander Pengilly and his father was Percy Pengilly. My 'birth name' is David Alexander Pengilly and it's a complicated story to explain how I ended up with my present name. I can't access the email address of Shirley Bassett and would appreciate it if you could let me know what I need to do to contact her.

Admin reply: Your message has been forwarded to Shirley

We have been researching the Pengilly family and found St Keverne history records to be amazing!! Didn't realize part of our family on my mother's side came from St Keverne! Be interested to hear from anyone who is related to the Pengillys today to see if we tie up at all. :o

My single name was Heymes, but our family name was changed from Heyme in the 1800's by my great grandfather. I noticed quite a few of the Heyme family are buried in your church. Thank you for compiling this information.

My father, the organist and broadcaster Dudley Savage MBE, gave several concerts at St Keverne during his lifetime. He was a son of Cornwall, being born at Gulval, Penzance. I am currently researching his life for a booklet and was delighted to come across mention of his visit to present TV's "Songs of Praise" back in 1968. What a fascinating website you have produced.
Congratulations and many thanks.
