what a great site! complex and informative.when I was about 15yrs in about 1960 I stayed on a lovely farm nr St Keverne with my school friends and parents. today looking at the photos of that time I am filled with pleasure about our visit. The young couple who owned the farm would go diving for sea urchins, we visited Coverack and watched the Lifeboat practice their launchings. A time of simple pleasures; the beautiful sea, nature and the localness of it all. Thank you. Annie c. Roberts |

A wonderful website for those of us with links to St Keverne. Keep up the good work. I am descended from John BORLASE/POTE who married Alice CHAMPION in 1815. Would be great to hear from any other descendants. |

Still searching for Rickard, Mary and I saw some Rickard names on your site but not the one I am searching for. I have a marriage date of June 12, 1830 to a Richard Dingle, in Gorran, Cornwall....???? thanks, Val |

Have just found your website through reading Family Tree Magazine and what a lot of help I got - Many thanks.I have found that my GreatGrandfather Robert Stotten was born in St Keverne being the son of Richard & Ann (nee Hodge) so there must be more of my long lost relatives out there somewhere. If anyone recognises a connection I'll be pleased to hear from them.Regards to all from Vic Stotten |

It is a long shot, but when I saw the name 'Rogers' it made me wonder if there is any connection with my grandfather George Rogers, son of another George Rogers I believe. He migrated to South Australia in the 1870's, but to be honest I don't know from which part of Cornwall he hailed. I have not started a full search of my ancestry yet so have to explore every possibility for a starting lead. I suppose most of us develop our interest in family history after all those who know are dead! Pity. |

I have many ancestors form Cornwall including families Arthur, Richards, Hoskins and Warren. Many worked in the tin mines and lived in places such as Truro, Redruth, Perranporth and Tintagel. Your website has been helpful at finding a few old ancestors. |

I'm the daughter of David Webb Rogers, son of Sampson Rogers, Jr., son of Sampson Rogers & Clara Hoover. The Sampsons carried out one more generation, one of my brothers is Sampson Rogers. Fascinating to read someone else's account of my family history from halfway around the world. PS: My great-uncle, Morris, my grandfather's older brother, named his farm in Rockford, IL Rosemorder. |
