Very interesting site. I am researching the James family. Elizabeth James married William Thomas Oliver of Phillack. They were my husband's great grandparents. If any one has any information on these families it would be greatly appreciated. Lorraine |

I found your history page very informative. My great-great-grandfather and son were survivors of the Barque John shipwreck in 1855. Your immense amount of information surrounding the whole event was wonderful. The "Plymouth and Stonehouse Journal" stories are extremely detailed and amazing to read. Thanks for this site. |

My grandfather, Alfred White, was born in Porthallow. We have visited that area several times and find it especially beautiful. Thanks to Diane and this website I have found many of my ancestors. Like others, I wish there were websites like this for other areas where I am researching. |
