I'm writing you from Santiago de Chile, Southamerica. I was looking for information about my family name "SIDGMAN" and I found out, that this name in St. Keverne also exists (I was looking on this website.
I think this lastname is not so common, at least in Chile. I would be very grateful if you could tell me more about this lastname, perphaps you are in position to tell me if some people with this lastname came to Southamerica one century ago or something like that. Are there in St. Keverne still persons with this lastname??

If you do not have information, perhaps you could tell me where I could ask for it, because I'm very interested in knowing the origin of my family.

Finally, I apologize if my english is not perfect.

Sincerely yours

Elke Sidgman Matthei

Hello,
I was hoping you may be able to tell me the name of the family occupying a house at Banger's Hill (St Keverne) in 1896. My GG Grandmother (Loveday Ann Trewin) gave birth there, whilst working as a domestic servant.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, Thank you,
Ian

I have been recently looking into the history of various branches of my family. I am from Australia, and a John Smith of St Keverne, Cornwall is my 4xgreat grandfather. He was born in 1781, and died in 1840. He married Elizabeth Cock, daughter of Peter and Ann Cock also from St Keverne, in 1809. They had 10 children, of which at least one (John) emigrated to Australia. I would be very interested to know if you had any information about my family. The furthest I can trace back is to John's parents, John Smith and Jane Roskelly. If you could help me I would greatly appreciate it,
Nicola Heath

My grandfather, James Lory, came from Trevalsoe, St Keverne. He was the son of William and Mary Ann Lory. I have visited St Keverne on several occasions, and always enjoy a stroll through the churchyard finding ancestors.

My grandmother's father was Francis Pearce of Tregarne, and my grandfather's mother was Margaret Ivey. This site is a joy when it comes to tracing the family history. Grateful thaanks to all who made it possible.
